In answer to your question about tricks we taught Holly. She dances around in a circle on back feet for a treat. She goes into her kennel cab just by our opening the door of it. She fetches her cloth bone toys, she catches the small pieces of her dog food when you toss it to her from almost any angle. She is paper trained so she goes in the garage and then gets 2 pieces of her dog food and thinks it is a treat. We quit the real treats as too much and fattening. She sits by our chairs and stares at us and/or makes a little noise so we know she needs to be let out. She comes and sort of makes a gutteral noise when it is around bedtime. She is the first dog I am able to brush her teeth as I started as a puppy rubbing my fingers over her teeth. She loves cheese and knows there are Kraft cheese slices in the refrig so when I open the door at lunch time, she knows she will get some. She comes and stares at me when her food dish is empty and she wants more. She brings her toy when she wants to play. We do have some dog bones dog treats in a closet and every time she hears that door open no matter if she is way at the end of the house, she is there in a split second to get one but I only give her 1 or 2 a week at most. That's all I can think of now. When I push back my recliner and raise the foot rest, she knows I am going to take a nap so she climbs in beside me and takes a nap too.
