I know it's difficult to find a good dog. I think to make it easier, we should know first what is the reason we want to buy a dog. In my opinion, there are two ways to find a good dog to buy :
1. If you want to buy a dog to be your friend, i think you can find it by using your heart.
steps :
- Call the dog with its name. If the dog comes, then go to the next step, if not, then it's not a good dog for you
- When the dog come, look at the dog's eye, and listen to your heart. If your heart feels comfortable, then the dog is the one to buy.
2. If you want to buy a dog just as your investment.
If you want to buy the dog for an investment, you must check the dog's backgrounds. How about the dog's parents, where are they come from, do the dog has certificate, and many more. The bottom line is the better the parents, the better the investment would be.
Conclusion : if you buy a dog to be your friend, use your heart, no matter how the dog looks like, you would always love the dog. But if for an investment, The dog's parents quality is an important factor.

My parents bought me a pup when I was younger, we sat her at one end of the room and all took turns calling out a name. (Even Fang and Monster) She eventually chose Cindy and came across the room. They are smarter than people think!

You are absolutely right! The best
dogs seem to be the ones who pick you, not necessarily the ones you pick for specific pedigree. The exception is the investment dog.
